Launch of the official website of BOSAGORA

BOS Platform Foundation has been working to ensure continuity of the platform’s development. We are very happy to introduce our plans for the future of the platform.

The project will continue under a new brand name, “BOSAGORA”.

BOSAGORA focuses on establishing a decentralized blockchain platform which can implement democratic decision-making process based on Trust Contracts and Congress Network as described in the original BOScoin White Paper.

Technical Advisory Board

The Foundation has decided to run a 'Technology Advisory Board' consisting of external experts independent from interests in order to support and check a development process from the planning stage of a rebuilding project. The Technical Advisory Board will provide advice and review on technical details such as block chain development, quality control of projects, and security management. And details on the composition and operation of the technical advisory board will be transparently disclosed.

Role:

1. Suggest organization of BPF resources to align with work-flow.
2. Review and help to improve blockchain development.
3. Policy for handle with security vulnerability reports and recommendations on infrastructure to support reporting.
4. Provide technical expertises and advice to the member in this project and assists in development, review and promotion of working.

재단은 리빌딩 프로젝트의 계획 단계부터 개발 과정을 지원하고 점검하기 위해 이해관계가 없는 외부 전문가로 구성된 '기술자문위원회'를 운영하기로 했습니다. 기술자문위원회는 블록체인 개발, 프로젝트의 품질관리, 보안관리 등의 기술적인 세부사항에 대해 자문과 검토를 할 예정입니다. 그리고 기술자문위원 회의 구성과 운영에 관한 세부 사항은 투명하게 공개될 것입니다.

A back-up of the BOScoin network has been performed on April 5, 2019, 12:00 UTC (Korean time 21:00) at block height 2,232,370, in order to maintain the stability and continuity of BOS Platform development.

We have assessed atypical movements in special accounts (Commons Budget, PF etc.). There have been changes to the collateral account holding the coins issued via PF (PF_E_01-001-A) in that the supply has been distributed to various different accounts and/or transferred to exchange accounts. Furthermore, certain accounts’ ownership and/or purpose are unclear and need to be clarified. The validity of certain accounts as these will be reviewed in the course of future development.

The balances of backed-up accounts can be found below. We look forward to sharing with you full lists of the backed-up data as well as further progress in the near future.

보스플랫폼은 개발의 안정성과 연속성을 유지하기 위하여 보스코인 네트워크의 백업을 진행하였습니다. 백업의 기준일시는 2019년 4월 5일 12:00 UTC (한국시간 21:00)에 블록높이 기준 2,232,370입니다.

그리고 백업 내용을 토대로 특정 계정(커먼스버짓, PF 계정 등)의 예외적인 변동상황을 확인하였습니다. 검토한 결과, 개발사에 의해 진행된 PF(PF_E_01-001-A)를 통해 발행되었던 코인의 담보용 계좌 등에서 변동 상황이 발생하여 여러 계좌로 나누어 지거나 거래소 계좌에 전송되는 사건이 발생하였고, 또한 소유와 용도가 불분명한 계좌들도 발견하였습니다. 백업 내용을 기준으로 앞으로의 프로젝트 개발에 적용할 때에 해당 계좌들의 유효성을 조사할 것입니다.

BOScoin backup complete.

As previously announced, in order to preserve the security and continuity of BOS Platform development, a backup has been performed for the BOScoin network. This backup will be used for future development of the Project.

The final backup has been performed at 12:00 UTC (21:00 KST) on April 5, 2019 at block height [2,232,370]. The validity of the backed-up data at the backup point will be assessed in consideration of irregular movements in special accounts (Commons Budget, PF accounts, etc).

If significant issues are found in the backed-up data, the Foundation will use data from 12:00 UTC one day prior to such events.

Over the course of the following week, we will inform you via our website the valid backup point, as well as the addresses and consolidated balances that have been backed up.

BOS Platform Foundation will proceed with a full back-up of the BOScoin network, in order to ensure the safety and continuity of the BOS platform. This back-up will be used in future development of the Project which we plan to insource.

We will perform the final back-up on the 5th April 2019 at 12:00 UTC (21:00 KST). In case some events were to disturb this schedule, the Foundation will use data from 12:00 UTC one day prior to such events. Those events include, but are not limited to, network malfunction, API issues, and irregular movement from special accounts (such as changes to Commons Budget or PF accounts).

In order to maximize your asset prerogatives, we recommend for you to keep BOScoin assets in your own BOScoin wallet at the point of back-up. Data that is not stored in BOScoin wallets, such as those stored in exchanges, cannot be backed-up.

The backed-up addresses and consolidated balances will be shared on our website.

1. Frozen account will also be backed up. As long as you keep your BOScoin in the BOS web or app wallet, your BOScoin assets will be backed up.

2. Creation of an advisory board.

In order to affirm checks and balances from the planning to development phases of rebuilding the Project, BOS Platform Foundation has decided to operate a technical advisory board comprising external experts without conflicts of interest. The technical advisory board will provide advice and review technical aspects such as blockchain development, project quality management. The composition and operational contents will be announced transparently.

Along with the accounts and consolidated balances of the final back-up, you will also find available the composition and operation of the technical advisory committee.

BOS Platform Foundation’s mission is to promote and develop new technologies and applications, especially in the fields of new open and decentralized software architectures. To fulfill this purpose, we strive to achieve the goal for which its funds were collected during the ICO, namely the realization of the White Paper.

We have so far outsourced core development to BlockchainOS, to whom development of MainNet has been long entrusted. However, upon technical assessment from 3rd party advisors, we have found the current state of platform development to be unaligned with the above purpose, with little leeway for rectification. Past development has seen a centralized private network and lack of Trust Contract, as well as difficulty, if not impossibility, of developing open membership and transparent Congress functionality.

Therefore, BOS Platform Foundation has made the decision to terminate the preestablished outsourcing contract and to insource the technical development, to continue building the project with the funds entrusted by the Foundation’s contributors.

In accordance with this decision, we aim to pursue the project with the following bearings:

• Rebuild development in convergence with White Paper

• Insource development team to facilitate direct monitoring and control

• Pursue development under support and auspices of an external technical advisory board

• Share with the community the pace and progress of development in order to elevate transparency

Furthermore, we are aware that certain claims have been filed to the attention of ESA. We are actively responding to ESA to retain its trust in the BOS project. We of course look forward to sharing the progress of our business with Swiss supervisors in order to consolidate such trust. Furthermore, we will continue to manage our funds carefully and transparently, to recover faith with our Community and to build this project upon that cornerstone.
